EVERY TIME I DIE Begins Recording New Album
March 23, 2009Buffalo, New York's EVERY TIME I DIE has entered an Anaheim, California studio with producer Steve Evetts (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, SEPULTURA, POISON THE WELL) to begin recording its new album for a fall release via Epitaph Records.
Vocalist Keith Buckley, along with founding members Jordan Buckley (guitar),Andy Williams (guitar),Mike Novak and newcomer Josh Newton (bass),have been slinging their nasty brand of southern rock-infused, sweat-drenched metal for the past decade, releasing classic hardcore albums like "Gutter Phenomenon", "Hot Damn!" and "Big Dirty" and touring the world over multiple times.
"Their brazenly original amalgam of rock ‘n roll and ironic aesthetics always reminds me of L.A.'s dangerous, burgeoning hardcore scene I grew up in," Epitaph owner Brett Gurewitz previously said. "Maybe that's why they've long been my favorite contemporary American hardcore band. Having the opportunity to work with them is a dream come true."
EVERY TIME I DIE sold almost 14,000 copies of its last album, "The Big Dirty" (Ferret Music),in the United States in its first week of release in September 2007 to debut at position No. 41 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"The Big Dirty" was produced by Steve Evetts and was described by the band as "the CD you would compile if asked to make a mix of the best EVERY TIME I DIE songs you haven't heard yet. Ten-plus tracks that tore from our filthy hands like the creature that jumped out of that dude's stomach in 'Alien'."
